ABOUT SPEED THE LIGHT
The concept is simple: we give so others can speed the light of the gospel to a world in darkness. This is accomplished by providing the “essential transportation and creative communication” equipment for missionary evangelism.
Through modern transportation, radio, television, the printed word, and equipment for mass evangelism, our missionaries can better fulfill the Great Commission.
Speed the Light (STL) is the student-initiated, volunteer, charitable program that provides much-needed equipment to missionaries across the nation and in over 180 countries around the world. Since its beginning, STL has raised over $235 million for missionary equipment around the world.
NORTH DAKOTA SPEED THE LIGHT
Every year, students, youth ministries, leaders and churches across our state give generously to STL. Through that generosity, many missionaries from ND have the resources they need to share the truth and hope of Jesus Christ throughout our world.
It’s not just stats, or goals, or awards - Speed the Light is inviting students to join with the Kingdom of Heaven to change their world!
This year, North Dakota Youth Leaders have launched the "7-0-1: It All Starts Here" Challenge for students/churches in our state. Through this initiative, students, leaders and churches are challenged to not just PRAY for a change in their world - but to actually BE the change by living a life of sacrifice, faith and Kingdom-priorities. Changing our world starts right here at home!
7-0-1 goal posters have been distributed throughout the state and are also available for download on the right. As students or adults track their giving, they can send in their card at specified goal amounts and receive a corresponding gift.
Several other items relating to the 7-0-1 initiative are also included for download on the right.
We encourage you to give to Speed the Light through your local church, if at all possible. Talk to your pastor or youth leader for more information. Alternately, you can also use the Speed the Light donation link on the right. We request that church treasures send in Speed the Light funds from your local account each month: The national Speed the Light website has great information for churches as youth leaders.
